I can only imagine the feelings you are going through, but how heroic your efforts have been. Know that I hold you in my thoughts and prayers for continued success in spite of current standings. Will you be elegible to undergo a second transplant of islets at this point? Lots going on in my efforts to receive the adipose stem cell treatment with my hopes remaining realistic in the outcome. I briefly went back on insulin in between my 1st and 2nd transplants, and it was a bit of a blow.

For me the important thing was to remember that stable sugars are the most important - that's what halts all the rest of the complications, avoids the lows etc etc.

I never went into my transplants every really wanting insulin independence - although it is nice - I am more excited about seeing the stable sugars.

Especially when I reflect back to how crappy life was pre-transplant.

Best wishes - and good luck on your panel - I am excited for you!

JasonJason Turnerhttp://jasonturner.ca/blognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5718808984404531239.post-13669665519260185742010-10-03T14:07:09.323-04:002010-10-03T14:07:09.323-04:00Thank you for all of the inspiration you've gi...Thank you for all of the inspiration you've given the T1 community. The truth is that, without, people like you who are willing to try these experimental treatments, there simply would not be REAL advancements made towards the CURE.

I am looking forward to reading more about your story!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16704298016041843194noreply@blogger.com
